The new Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Act 2018 received Royal Assent on 13 September.  It introduces the right to two weeks’ time off work if an employee loses a child under 18. Supporting Regulations which are yet to be published but will give information on how much pay will be due during this period.  The Government intends that the Act will be in force by April 2020.
